In Rememberence of
"PETE"
CH Franklin's Pickpocket for Kerrybrook MH

January 30, 1996 - July 31, 2007

Pete was laid to rest today at Kerrybrook. He was 11 ½ years old. Immediately descended from Dual & AFC Hiwood Shadow and Dual & AFC Warpath Macho, Pete brought honor to his forefathers’ legacies by finishing his CH and MH by three years five months old. He finished his Master title within a year of achieving his bench championship in five consecutive tests without fail. Pete went everywhere with me. This year I have not gone to dog events because, among other reasons, Pete could no longer withstand road trips.

I believe Pete’s greatest gift was the joy he brought to his puppy owners. To date Pete has produced:

• 5 bench champions; The Number One Labrador Male throughout Asia;
• 1 bitch with All Age Open points;
• 13 Master Hunters, three of which are Qualified All Age; one has over 50 Master passes and is a multiple qualifier at the Master National;
• 45 other hunting titles;
• 1 OTCH and 13 other obedience titles;
• 2 MACHs and 29 other agility titles
• 2 tracking titles.

Pete's last litter of ten was born three weeks ago, owned and raised by Puppies Behind Bars, the organization that utilizes inmates as instructors for guide dogs and law enforcement dogs.

47% of his 149 progeny that have had OFA certification certified excellent.

He leaves a legacy reaching worldwide among his children and grandchildren, on three continents, with innumerable achievements.
